The full-back has made 170 appearances for the Serie A outfit since joining back in 2015

Chelsea and Manchester United target Elseid Hysaj has confirmed his intention to leave Napoli this summer, declaring he needs ‘to win something’ in his career.

Hysaj, 25, has made 170 appearances for the Serie A outfit since joining the club in 2015, establishing himself as one of Maurizio Sarri’s close allies and star performers during his tenure in charge.

However, since Sarri’s departure to Chelsea last summer, the right-back has become more of a fringe player under Carlo Ancelotti and thus wants to pursue a move away in the close season.

“I’m absolutely ready for a new challenge because I need change,” he told DigitAlb.

“I’m not the type of person who likes to stay at a club for too long.

“I want to have new experiences, learn about a new country, meet new people, play for another team and maybe try to win something.

“For me, my time at Napoli is over and I hope to find a team that will give me what I need.”

The revelation from the Albanian will alert some of Europe’s top suitors, with Juventus and Atletico Madrid reportedly among those interested in signing Hysaj.

The player’s agent, Mario Giuffredi, believes Juve is an option, especially if Sarri joins.

“I think Sarri will go to Juventus and which player wouldn’t like to follow the Coach who made him show more than the others?” he told Radio CRC.
