Tottenham’s misery at home continued on Saturday night as Fulham stunned the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with a disciplined 2-1 victory, capitalising on early errors and holding firm despite a late Spurs surge.

Tottenham’s wretched home form sank to a new low on Saturday night as Fulham marched into north London and walked away with their first Premier League away win of the season, edging a 2-1 victory that left the home supporters in disbelief.

Under the lights at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Spurs unravelled almost immediately. Still reeling from a poor run that has seen them lose ground in both domestic and European competitions, Thomas Frank’s charges produced a first half that can only be described as a disaster.

Fulham needed just four minutes to silence the stadium. Samuel Chukwueze charged at the Spurs defence with menace, cutting inside before sliding the ball across the box to Kenny Tete. The fullback’s low drive clipped Destiny Udogie on its way into the bottom corner, putting the visitors ahead and exposing Spurs’ early fragility.

Two minutes later, calamity struck again. Guglielmo Vicario rushed out under pressure from Raul Jimenez but completely miscued his clearance. The loose ball dropped to youngster Joshua King, who calmly set up Harry Wilson to curl into an empty net. Fulham were 2-0 up after six minutes, and Spurs were stunned.

The Cottagers kept coming. Chukwueze hit the post from a corner, Jimenez nearly capitalised from another delivery, and it required last-ditch heroics from Micky van de Ven to stop Chukwueze from adding a third. Spurs, meanwhile, looked disjointed, predictable, and entirely toothless going forward.

By half-time, the numbers told the story. Spurs had produced an xG of just 0.07 from two shots, neither on target. Fulham were far more precise, working 0.34 xG from five attempts and looking a threat every time they surged forward. Pressure began to mount on Frank as his players trudged off with boos ringing around them.

The hosts returned with more intent after the break, and the response came in the 59th minute. Lucas Bergvall recycled possession smartly before finding Mohammed Kudus on the edge of the box. The Ghanaian unleashed a ferocious strike into the top corner, dragging Spurs back into the contest and lifting the energy inside the stadium.

The goal ignited Spurs. Randal Kolo Muani twice came close first flashing a powerful header just wide, then attempting an audacious backheel that drifted inches off target. Andersen made a heroic block to deny Simons, and Jimenez headed Bergvall’s flick off the line moments later.

The 2-1 victory lifted Silva’s men to 15th, just a point behind Spurs, who remain stranded in 10th and staring at a worrying pattern: five defeats in their last seven across all competitions.

Tottenham’s season feels stuck in reverse. Their dreadful home record is now impossible to ignore, with nine home losses and only 12 points collected at their own stadium across 2025 the worst return among the Premier League ever-presents over the last two campaigns.

For Fulham, this was a momentous night. For Spurs, it was another reminder that the rot at home is far from over.

Frank’s men now face a brutal away trip to Newcastle before hosting Brentford. Fulham, buoyed by this rare travelling triumph, welcome Manchester City and Crystal Palace next.
