Barcelona fined by UEFA for racist gestures at PSG match. UEFA imposed a 25,000 euro (Kes 6,064,800) fine on the Spanish giants for fans' Nazi salutes and monkey gestures during a Champions League game against Paris Saint-Germain. The charge of "racist behavior" was confirmed after images circulated showing misconduct by some fans at Parc des Princes on April 10.

Additionally, UEFA deferred a one-game ban on selling tickets to Barcelona fans for an away game in the Champions League next season, pending a one-year probationary period. Barcelona was also instructed to compensate PSG for damage caused to seats by fans and pay additional fines totaling 7,000 euros (Kes 1,675,800).

Barcelona's 3-2 victory in Paris during the quarterfinals' first leg was overshadowed by their subsequent elimination on Tuesday, following a 4-1 loss in the home leg.

In a separate development, FIFA plans to initiate a fresh campaign against racism next month during its annual congress meeting in Bangkok, Thailand.
