Nairobi United produced a composed and confident performance to secure a 3–1 win over Bandari FC in their SportPesa League clash on Tuesday, November 4, 2025.
The home side got off to a dream start when Patrick Buregeya found the back of the net in the fifth minute, putting Bandari immediately on the back foot. The Dockers, however, showed resilience and composure, clawing their way back into the match through Geoffrey Ojunga, who fired in a powerful equalizer in the 40th minute to level matters before halftime.
After the break, Nairobi United lifted the tempo. Enock Machaka restored the lead from the penalty spot in the 56th minute after sustained pressure forced a defensive error. Bandari tried to respond through a series of substitutions bringing on Hamisi Mwaphalu and Izzadin Ramadan but their attempts to regain control were undone by Nairobi’s clinical finishing.
With five minutes left on the clock, Moses Kibwana sealed the result with a composed strike to make it 3–1, sparking celebrations among the NaiBois supporters. Despite Levis Opiyo’s brilliant triple save earlier in the half, Bandari’s defensive lapses and lack of cutting edge in attack proved costly.
Bandari managed only two shots on target throughout the game, compared to Nairobi’s sharp attacking display. The defeat leaves the Dockers searching for answers as they aim to bounce back in their next fixture, while Nairobi United continue to show they are serious contenders this season.
